Curriculum sprints are five minute design challenges that examine everyday tools, objects, practices, and experiences. These quick observational exercises invite participants to engage mindfully with spaces they encounter daily.

The Wind

This sprint explores how we perceive wind—an invisible force observed through its effects on trees and our bodies—encouraging participants to develop language for describing the unseen and consider wind's impact on diverse entities.

Riding the Bus

This curriculum examines the 38 Geary bus line as a microcosm of social dynamics, inviting participants to observe the unspoken choreography of public transit and experience how position changes perception within shared civic spaces.

Visiting the Ocean

This sprint juxtaposes the calming aspects of beach visits with uncomfortable encounters (like finding a dead seal), using an activity called "Turning Your Back" to help participants deliberately face anxieties rather than avoid them.
